Just when you think Indo season is starting to wind down... BAM! How about a slice of macking Uluwatu with a side of extra heavy clean-up sets?
Tuesday, August 30 got big on the Bukit Peninsula of Bali, like, really big. Yeah, swells are consistent in that part of the world at this time of year, and this one capped out at 11ft@19 seconds from the SW.
Ulu is heavy at the best of times, so spare a thought for the surfers that take a tumble down these avalanches and still come up swinging.
Speaking of which, that surfer on the white board narrowly avoiding the waves' guts being spewed on him just before getting shacked and making it out? That's local Canggu shredder Kayu, according to filmer Balint Hambalko.
Would you go? Or would you rather be amongst the crowd heard in this vid hooting and cheering?
There's plenty more coming today (albeit a little smaller), so hit play above, and then, have a look at the Uluwatu forecast, right here.
