And so it begins. A spicy season opener played out at Mexpipe earlier this week, with a cast of local chargers heeding the call.
Towards the tail end of last week, a system in the South Pacific rifled a solid SSW swell into Puerto Escondido, creating all you see throughout.
Lensman Edwin Morales was perched on the beach. He relays to MSW: “What a great start of the season it’s been. We have had small swells pumping since February and March is looking a whole lot better.
“On March 6-7 we saw the first solid swell of the year and it was nothing but amazing starting from the small crowds and the flawless conditions both mornings. 8-10 foot waves in pristine conditions, was all we could ask for and the ocean delivered. The sand is already getting better and we are all looking forward to another epic season in puerto.”
