Rio Pro Day 1 Highlights

TOP seeds dominated the opening round of the Billabong Rio Pro, right up until Ace Buchan thrashed out a last minute nine to beat Medina against the run of play.

Julian Wilson looked in ominous form but needs to prove he can keep it going. Taj Burrow another natural-footer dominated the lefthander of Arpoador today and in general the sectioning left didn’t seem to be doing much to benefit the goofies.

Forecast wise it’s dropping today (Thursday) before a small pulse on Saturday preceding a series of pulses next week which are forecast to hit a decent size. All in all the forecast looks promising and on the right patches of sand it should get pretty tasty so long as the can keep the satellite truck out of the bushes.
