THE sun always shines in France, right? Long evening glass-off sessions and buckets of vino? You needed the latter this winter as it alternated 8ft cylinders with the wettest, coldest most miserable affair imaginable.

10-year-old Kyllian Guerin, Pierre Valentin Laborde, Arnaud Darrigade, Arthur Lassee and Rudy Marechal made the most of home soil whilst levering in jaunts to the Tuamotu Islands, Costa Rica and Lowers. How’s PV Laborde’s technical tunnelling? Spending your tutelage on these sands will do that for you.
