Approaching Lines is stoked to announce Saturday 26th April, surfer, explorer and filmmaker Kepa Acero will be joining us to host a very special event as part of the Approaching Lines Festival.
One of the most exciting surf filmmakers of our time, Kepa is arriving hot-foot from his African adventure #frommundakatoafrika where he has scoured the coastlines of Namibia, Angola, Mauritania, Senegal and beyond in search of empty line ups and mysto waves. Described as ‘a one-man Naughton/Peterson of the modern age’ Kepa will be presenting a special screening of his new movie ‘Under Desert Sun’ plus some exclusive clips from his trips and talking about his ground breaking solo expeditions to areas such as Antarctica and Patagonia, giving a glimpse into the world of one of surfing’s most stoked individuals.
Kepa embodies that spirit of adventure that kick started the waveriding wanderlust – he approaches fresh horizons with an openness and clearness of vision, making the most of what he finds along the way.

Bringing to the Southwest a three-night extravaganza of surfing’s most hotly anticipated premieres, underground hits and award winning features, The Cinematic Surf Sessions is a celebration of the very best in UK and international surf filmmaking.
