SAN JUAN, Lanzarote (Friday, October 17, 2008) – The ASP World Qualifying Series (WQS) 6-Star Prime Santa Surf Pro got straight into business today with Heats 1 to 24 of Round 2 being completed in wind-blown but consistent three foot (one meter) waves at San Juan. The awaited new swell hit the North Shore of Lanzarote during the night and some quality sets offered all top seeds some good scoring potential to get their curcial points’ chase going.

Surfers and officials eventually decided to give San Juan another chance and come back tomorrow Friday, October 17 at 7.30 AM (GMT+1) to possibly get Round 2 started.

SAN JUAN, Lanzarote (Tuesday, October 14, 2008) – The Santa Surf Pro, an Association of Surfing Professionals (ASP) World Qualifying Series (WQS) 6-Star Prime event, got underway in tricky two to three foot (0.5 to 1 meter) waves today at the famous lefthander of San Juan and sixteen heats were completed during Day 1 of competition.
MANLY BEACH, Australia (Monday, October 13, 2008) – Tyler Wright (AUS), 14, made ASP History today as the youngest ever winner of an ASP World Tour event, defeating fellow finalist Silvana Lima (BRA), 23, at the Beachley Classic in peaky two foot (1 metre) waves at Manly Beach.

MANLY BEACH, Australia (Monday, October 13, 2008) – Clean surf in the two-to-three foot (1 metre) range is pushing through at Manly today, and event organizers at the Beachley Classic have called the final day of competition on, with a champion being crowned by day’s end. The Quarterfinals are scheduled to begin at 9:15am.
EL CONFITAL, Gran Canaria (Sunday, October 12, 2008) – Daniel Ross (Yamba, AUS), 25, won the Association of Surfing Professionals (ASP) World Qualifying Series (WQS) 4-Star Ocean & Earth Pro pres. by La Caja de Canarias in pumping five to six foot (1.5 to 2 meter) waves at the world famous venue of El Confital today. Ross, who defeated Stuart Kennedy (Lennox Head, AUS), 18, in an exciting 100% Australian 35-minute Man-on-man clash, rose throughout the week with excellent skills and variety in his surfing to end up 1st of the 2008 edition and clinch the valuable 1500 winner's ratings' points.
EL CONFITAL, Gran Canaria (Saturday, October 11, 2008) – The second to last day of the Ocean & Earth Pro witnessed some intense action with the pressure rising over the potential winners at El Confital. Eight heats were wrapped up taking the event into its Man-on-man clashes and all four semifinalists were decided after a great surf show in three to four foot (1. to 1.2 meter) waves, Jonathan Gonzalez (CNY) being the only one to resist the Australian assault led by ASP World Tour surfer Daniel Ross (AUS).
