Electric Blue Heaven

IF Carlsberg did surf films they’d be like Globe’s recent conceptual film featuring: a wave pool, Dion Agius, 10 Russian models and a canary yellow Lamborghini.

Unashamedly tinkling the ivories of surfing’s male dominated demographic you’d have difficulty finding a more patriarchal and staged attempt at representing surfing. If an alien were to beamed down to this wave pool they burn the models’ binkinis before shooting the lot of them on principle.

Which is exactly why it works, why its had more than 200,00 views in only a few short hours and why we love it. We say, if you are going to be gratuitous leave no turn unturned and no depth delved. Equally if you hate it, well, we must admit that you have every right.

Captured through the lenses of: Joe G, DJ Struntz, Beren Hall, and Grady Archbold at the Wadi Adventure Park in Al Ain.
